Question:
I cant tell if the c300 has a 3 wire or a PWM-ST type. It has a black/white for turn signal a black/red wire for inner stop/tail lamp and a pink for stop/tail/park lamp. Not sure where to connect the Red and Brown wires from the converter.

According to my research your 2008 Mercedes-Benz C300 has a combined stop and tail signal with an independent turn signal with pulse modulation. This means the signals are sent as pulses that need to be deciphered.
When looking at the installation manual for the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter Harness # C59236 you will want to follow the directions for the "PWM-ST" vehicle wiring type. The green wire from the harness will go to the right turn wire (black/green on the vehicle), the red wire will go to the stop/tail light wire (pink on vehicle), the yellow wire will go to the left turn wire (black/white on the vehicle), and the brown wire will ground with the white wire. I do still recommend testing the wires on your Mercedes with a circuit tester like # PTW2992 to ensure you are making the correct connections as vehicle manufacturers can sometimes mix up the wire colors they use at the factory.
