Question:
I have Class B RV built on the 2018 Promaster 2500 and want to carry my small motorcycle on the back using a hitch carrier. My concern is that the 2500 has relatively low ground clearance to begin with, and by the time you hang a motorcycle carrier off the back you risk dragging the motorcycle on the ground on uneven surfaces driveways, etc. I am looking for something that will raise the carrier a few more inches off the ground. What would you suggest? The motorcycle and carrier have a combined weight of right at 400 pounds. I was looking at the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, 6 inch /Rise. Thanks for the help.

Although an adapter that raises the height of the receiver will definitely help with the clearance issue you are talking about with your 2018 ProMaster 2500 please note that any adapter like this will reduce the weight rating of your trailer hitch by 50%.
Using the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter # RM-077-6 honestly makes me a little nervous because you are not only reducing the weight rating of your trailer hitch but you are also maxing out the tongue weight rating of the adapter. I do have a better option but it is a bit more costly.
I instead recommend using a Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount like the part # 325-GH-314 because it gives you a very strong adapter that is a much safer option than the standard options out there. Not only is this piece stronger (has a tongue weight rating of 1,500 lbs) but it also has 4 receivers so you can choose which height works best for your application.
You can also add the InfiniteRule Security Trailer Hitch Lock # 34061072-D to the mix which can be keyed alike so that your Gen-Y is locked to your trailer hitch and your motorcycle carrier is locked to the Gen-Y hitch.
