Question:
Hello, I have this controller on my trailer. I have a 2010 GMC 3500 with the ITBC. Which adaptorinch do I need to make the ITBC work properly with my electric over hydraulic set up? Thanks,

There are two options to activate the electric over hydraulic brakes on your trailer when towing with your 2010 GMC 3500 truck. The first, as you mentioned, would be to use an adapter, which also requires some additional parts. The second option would be to install an aftermarket brake controller which is compatible with electric over hydraulic brakes.
If you decide to go with an adapter, you will first need the Titan BrakeRite SD Adapter, part # T4845900. In addition to using the adapter, you would need to use Titan BrakeRite II Severe-Duty Electric-Hydraulic Actuator, part # T4835700. The reason you would need to use the Titan Actuator Kit, part # T4835700 is because of the uncertainty of compatibility between the Titan SD Adapter and Dexter units. The Titan representative informed me that they have not tested the SD Adapter with Dexter units and would recommend using part # T4835700.
In addition to using the Titan Adapter and part # T4835700, you would need a breakaway kit installed on your trailer if you do not already have one hooked up. The representative at Titan recommended using Gel Cell Breakaway Kit for Titan BrakeRite Systems, part # T4822100.
Going the other route would be to install an aftermarket brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3, part # 90195, The Tekonsha P3 is compatible with electric and electric over hydraulic trailer brakes. To install the brake controller you would need to hard-wire the brake controller. You will need to locate the blunt cut wires under the dash on driver side and make connections to brake controller wires and make connections under the hood (see FAQ).
After installing an aftermarket brake controller in place of the factory brake controller, there will be an error code on the dashboard. You will need to take your truck to the GM dealer to have the computer flashed to remove the error code.
I have linked detailed instructions for the Titan BrakeRite II Severe-Duty Electric-Hydraulic Actuator, part # T4835700, an FAQ on installing a brake controller on GM Trucks with an integrated brake controller.
