Would Malone Square Crossbars Fit into Thule Podium Square Bar Feet

Question:

They seem to be the same dimenions. I already own the malone cross bars, but got a new vehicle with flush rails and was hoping to utilize the malone cross bars in the thule podium square bar configuration. Any ideas if this would work?

The Thule square crossbars and the Malone crossbars are the same width and height at 1-1/4 inches wide by 7/8 inches tall. There's no reason the Malone bar wouldn't fit into the older Thule square Podium feet but you should note that it's never been officially tested so you'd be accepting that risk and not have any warranty coverage.
