I am not sure I understand what you are asking. The Ram Gooseneck to 5th Wheel Trailer Coupler Adapter part # KPG5-R30 installs on the trailer, not the tow vehicle. It is designed to replace the gooseneck coupler on the trailer and allow for connection to a 5th wheel hitch as opposed to connection with a gooseneck hitch ball. The old coupler will need to be cut off and the new outer tube will need to be welded on the trailer by a professional welder. The inner tube will then slide in the outer tube and provide a king pin attachment for use with 5th wheel hitches such as the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16140 which gets installed on the tow vehicle.
