What is the Usable Length of the Heavy Duty Linchpin, # LP716HD
Published 11/28/2011 >
Question:
Can you provide me with the actaul length of the linchpin? What does the usable length mean? I need to put the pin through two holes about 1.5 apart, so I need about 1.625 of clear shaft before the ring hits...

The usable length of the Heavy Duty Linchpin, # LP716HD, is from the end of the pin up to the head that holds the ring (because the head will not fit through the 7/16 inch diameter hole, it is not part of the usable length). The usable length is 1-3/4 inches (1.75) so it will fit your application.
I have made a picture that shows the usable length for you.
