Which Way Should Malone Aero Crossbars Face on Roof of Vehicle

Question:
In most of the photos, it shows the thinner part of the foil pointing forward, but in the installation video it shows the thicker part facing forward like and airplane wing. What is the preferred orientation for installation to minimize wind sound? It isnt like you need the lift from the plane wing orientation :

It looks like some of the customer submitted photos for the Malone roof rack part # MPG215 show the rack installed backwards. The thicker portion needs to face forward. I attached a picture that shows the correct orientation of the bars for you to check out.
