Question:
Hello, I just purchased a 30’ camping trailer that I plan to pull with a 2009 Toyota Tundra. Can you tell me what brake controller and any other accessory that would be require to install? Can you also tell me the level of difficulty to install? Thanks!

For your 2009 Toyota Tundra, if you have the factory 7-way trailer connector, then you will simply use a brake controller like the Prodigy P3 # 90195 you asked from with the custom wiring harness # 3040-P. This is an extremely easy install using the factory harness to simply plug the controller into. The harness is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal. This installation is extremely easy.
If you have the factory 4-way or an aftermarket 4-way trailer connector, then you will need the brake controller, but will hardwire the controller and upgrade your trailer connection. To do this you will use kit # ETBC7. I've attached a video to assist. This process is a little more difficult, but can still be done by anyone with mechanical abilities in a few hours.
