Can I bypass the tranny line cooler and go straight to the radiator on my 02 GMC Sierra Z71

Yes, you can bypass the auxiliary transmission cooler on your 2002 GMC Sierra 1500 Z71 but you will need an adapter to do so, the Derale Radiator Adapter Fittings for GM part # D13018 which goes straight on the radiator and allows you to hook up the new lines without any splicing. We typically recommend you just install the new one in-line with the old one. However, if you choose not to then I recommend using a cooler with sufficient capacity such as the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler part # D13504 which has the improved plate-fin design.
