Will this switch operates the FVK8017-00 replacement fan without being connected to the circuit board? Only connecting power in from the battery and power out to the fan?

When used with the Replacement Fan Motor # FVK8017-00 the 3-Speed Switch # FVK1031-05 will need to be wired to the circuit board (along with the battery for power and the fan motor) for proper operation. I verified this with my contact at Fan-Tastic Vent. The wire from the circuit board to the 3-Speed Switch is typically yellow.
