Im getting confused about which one to buy? I want a stacked Plate style most effcient for my truck?

Stacked plate style transmission coolers are the most efficient style like you mentioned. The Derale Cooler part # D13403 would do a really good job keeping the fluid temps down on your 2001 GMC Sierra 2500hd 6.0 liter. To install this you'll also want the hose fitting part # D13018 too so that you don't have to cut any hard lines.
