It sounds like you are wondering if the same set of snow chains can be used on both a 285/65R17 size tire and a 285/75R17 size tires.

Looking at the chains we have available it appears that the difference in size between these two tires is a bit too large to allow for the same set of chains to fit well on both. Just for reference the 285/75R17 tire is more than 2 inches larger in diameter/height than the 285/65R17 tire.

For the 285/65R17 tires I recommend the Glacier Twist-Link Snow Tire Chains # PWH2228SC.This is a nice heavy style that will provide traction, but the twist link design will help provide a smoother ride than more aggressive chains.

For the larger 285/75R17 tires the Titan Chain # TC2335 will work great. This style is my favorite because of the integrated tensioners to allow for an easy and secure installation. Two chains are included with each set.
