Troubleshooting Controller Module for Kwikee Steps

I received my replacement part from trailer. Before I install it, however, I want to confirm that the part number on the new unit is 1800709. From what I can see at Lippert, 1800709 and lc379605 are in fact the same part.

The correct part may be the solution. The Replacement Control Module for Lippert Electric Coach Step # LC301702 you asked from is not a Kwikee Step controller.
The Lippert Components Kwikee Control Unit for pre-IMGL/9510 Step Control with switches # LC379606 is the fit for 1999-2005 models. The models after 2005 are all auto retracting and extending so you will use the Lippert Components Kwikee Step Control with Override and PKD # LC379605 instead if you have something newer.
The magnetic switch is an open circuit on newer models, but on older models they used a closed circuit. If you need the closed switch, the Lippert Components Kwikee Miniature Rectangle Door Switch Kit -White # LC374198 is what you need. You can test all your functions individually using 12V power wires from your battery. If you have the coach steps I've attached the installation diagram to assist.
