Wiring Heat Strip and Advent AC Unit to Thermostat

Question:
I installed the heat strip on a advent 135, would it be easier to control if i installed a thermostat, and which way should the thermastat knob be turned when using Opt. Heat?

The Advent 135 # ACM135 that you have is designed to replace a Coleman AC unit that uses a thermostat. You can wire up the unit with the heat strip part # ACMHD to the thermostat you currently have if you want.
I attached a diagram that shows how it wires to the thermostat for you to check out.
