Question:

Hi I asked about useing superchip 1845 tow mod and tc lockup and tc lockup when down shifting pulling up hill. It is a 2002 7.3 4r100 tranmision.

I reached out to my contact at Superchips and he said the tow modification will have different tunes in the Superchips Flashpaq F5 Performance Tuner - Ford - Gas/Diesel # SU1845 you asked about depending on the engine. If you can give me which of the 3 engine sizes you have, I can get more information on whether or not the torque converter lockup changes in tow mode.

Thanks for the engine update. I spoke with my tech contact at Superchips and the tow setting on the Flashpaq # SU1845 with your engine and transmission will not impact the timing of the torque converter so it will not lock up longer and it will not lock up when downshifting.
