Thank you for your reply. I understand that I have a Lippert 1621, do you know if it is a HD or SHD? I just want to make sure I'm getting the right pin box. I was looking into the demco (gliderider) rota-flex or morryde. I just dont want to spend that much for the trailair air ride (I know it is far more superior). We are not full time RVers. That is why I'm looking at the three above, hoping that one of them will reduce some of the chucking? I pull with a long bed and have the b&w patriot hitch. Thanks look forward to your reply?

I reached out to my contact at Lippert and you do have the 1621 pin box on your 2010 KZ Durango LX. If you are looking for a cushioned pin box, I recommend the Trailair Flex Air 5th Wheel Pin Box - Lippert 1621 - 18,000 lbs # LC328492 or the 21,000 lb # LC369535. Either of these will work well and they not only have the air ride but also have a rubber compound and moving head to be the fist defense against road shock and chucking.

If you desire greater turning clearance, then the 5th Airborne Premium 5th Wheel Air Ride King Pin w/ Sidewinder and Turret - 16,000 lbs # RP61422 is an excellent option especially if you have a short bed truck.

According to my contact at Lippert you have the standard 1621 pin box. The 1621HD using the exact same bolt pattern so that wouldn't change anything and the 1621SHD is the standard heavy duty 21K factory replacement version which again uses that same bolt pattern for replacement but comes with the brackets and hardware. For an upgrade that doesn't give you the air ride but will help with the chucking I recommend the Trailair Rota-Flex 5th Wheel Pin Box - Lippert 1621 or 1621HD - 18,000 lbs # LC328330. This will work well to reduce the chucking in combination with your long bed truck and your B&W Patriot hitch (which has just some slight dampening integrated).
