What brake controller do you recommend for a 2018 Cadillac Escalade?

Expert Reply:
If you have the factory 7-way on your 2018 Cadillac Escalade, then I recommend the Tow Pro Elite # RED44FR as the best option. This controller will allow you to have control at your fingertips while giving you two modes of braking. This will give you a clean dash look that can utilize a blank slot in the dash or can be mounted in a custom location. You will simply use the Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers - Pigtail - GM # 3016-S to wire this controller to your factory harness.
If you don't have the factory 7-way, then I recommend the Twist-in, 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector for Chevy and GMC Vehicles - Vehicle End # PK11916 to give you the 7-way. The wires are already run under the dash even though there isn't the quick connect harness, so you will simply make the hardwire connections to the controller. I've attached an article and a video to assist with the GM wiring.
