If your 2017 GMC Canyon has a 6' bed and you have the BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK48125 you will be able to install the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH43002XT-783.
It is important to note that when folding the slats of the MX4 they will likely come into contact with the angled uprights of the TracRac so you would need to move the rear upright of the TracRac forward in order to open your MX4 and you may not be able to completely unfold your tonneau cover.
A better option for a ladder rack that will allow you to open your BAKFlip MX4 # BAK48125 is the Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack # A4000951 because it has uprights which are straight. The Adarac has a 500 lb capacity and uses adjustable load stops to help secure your cargo.
