Wireless Backup Camera for 2019 Chevy Silverado Towing Bumper Pull Trailer
Published 11/06/2018 >
Question:
Hi, I have a 2019 silverado towing a 36ft bumper pull trailer, Ive used GM OEM wireless integrated trailering back up cameras in my past truck but had mixed luck. Although it claims to be a digital signal it would frequently drop out especially at gas stations and truck stops where it is needed most it seemed like it would happen where there was interference from other transmitters. Does this kit have similar issues or will it have enough power to overcome this given my set up? What is the separate spiral antenna for you show in this kit on a picture? Also is there a temporary mount option that wont involve drilling holes in the dash of my new truck? That is not an option for me. Thanks.

The Rear View Safety Wireless Backup Camera System # RVS-4CAM that you referenced features a true digital wireless connection that will work great for up to 70 feet. You should not have any of the same interference issues you had with the OEM system on your previous truck.
The separate spiral antenna you mentioned is actually a magnetic wireless booster male antenna that can be used to strengthen the signal even further. It comes included with this system but you don't need to install it if it's not needed.
Another great feature of this particular system is that the cab monitor can be mounted in a number of different ways. One of which is to attach the bracket to the dash with screws but another is to use the included universal mount and adhesive pad for a no-drill application. This system will work really nicely for your setup.
