Helpful Expert Reply:
LT tires are made differently from the ST tires. The ST tires have a stronger sidewall by design from the Light Truck tires. The Light Truck (LT) tires are normally better for steering and comfort, but on a trailer the Special Trailer (ST tires) will be a better choice as you don't need the flexibility for turning with the non-moving axle.
Motorhomes usually use the LT tires for ride comfort, but when you have a trailer the ST tires are a better choice in most cases. The biggest differentiating factor in your choice should be the load capacity. Each tire has a load rating at its max psi which is what the tire should be run at for a trailer, so you will want a tire compatible with the weight that will be on the axle.
