Could Welding on Trailer Frame Damage Lighting Circuits
Published 10/23/2018 >
Question:
Is it possible welding this on fried the brand new LED lights on the trailer? They worked before but not anymore. Not sure of the best/easiest way to test the lights.

If there was a short on the wiring of your trailer to the frame when you were welding it could potentially damage the wiring but normally it's not an issue. You can try running a jumper cable from a positive battery post to the power wire of the light and ground the light and you'll know if the light is the problem or the wiring. I suspect the wiring though. Most likely you didn't reattach the ground from the trailer wiring harness after swapping the coupler and that's why it's not working.
