Question:

I currently have a 2011 Dodge Ram 2500 with the under bed puck mounts for the Reese 18k Signature Series sliding 5th wheel. I’m considering upgrading to a 2018 Ram 2500 with the factory 5th wheel prep package. Do you know if the hitch head I have would fit into the factory prep package? Or does Reese offer an under the bed mount package for the 2018 Rams that would work?

The Reese Signature Series Slider part 30072 that you have now is a great hitch but they do not make an adapter that will allow you to use this with the Ram factory prep package and they don't make an under bed mount kit that will work with a 2018 Ram 2500 without the factory prep package.

For the 2018 Ram 2500, I highly recommend just replacing the entire hitch with either the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch part # BWRVK3600 for fixed or part # BWRVK3670 for sliding. This hitch has 1" think dual jaws which are going to prevent chucking and jarring better than pretty much every other hitch on the market. They are also made in the USA and come with a lifetime warranty.
