I have a 2012 dodge 3500 4x4 6.7 with the gooseneck model 1313. Which position should the socket post be in 1 or 2

I attached a chart that has all of the arm positions explained for the B and W Companion Hitch part # BWRVK3500 that you have. The horizontal position really comes down to cab clearance. Most people are find with the arms located forward which allows the trailer to sit closer to the cab of the truck. But some people need more turning clearance so the rearward-most position works best for them.
