I have a 2016 GMC 3500 and the passenger side turn or break light will not work on my camper. I also hooked up to my neighbors camper and had the same problem.

Since you've tested the truck on more than more trailer, you've basically eliminated the trailer as the issue and have determined that the problem is on the trailer. Typically, it's corrosion on the pins of the connectors that causes this, so I'd check first for corrosion on the trailer connectors and then clean as needed. I also attached a help article on troubleshooting trailer wiring for you to check out as well.
