I want to install a hitch on my 2018 Subaru Impreza but need to know how much I can tow with the vehicle?

I looked up the towing capacity for your 2018 Subaru Impreza Wagon and it looks to have a capacity of 1,164 to 1,325 lbs depending on how it's equipped. But you need to verify that in your owners manual. For a hitch then you'd want the Draw Tite hitch part # 76209 for a great hitch at a great price, or for a hitch that will be mostly out of plain sight we have the EcoHitch part # 306-X7350 which is also a fit. It only has the hitch opening visible below the rear bumper. The install is more in-depth and the price is higher but it does give you an almost hidden hitch. These hitches have more capacity than your vehicle has and since your towing setup is only as strong as your weakest component you'd be limited to the vehicle's towing capacity I mentioned first.

For trailer wiring you'd then want the # 118744 which is our most reliable trailer wiring harness confirmed as a fit.

Since you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
