The best options for towing a gooseneck trailer for a 2018 Ram 3500 will be long bed, diesel engine, dually. The cab style will be determined by how many people you will be traveling with most likely. You should note that the wider the doors, the longer the vehicle. You'd end up with a pretty long and wide truck if you did a quad cab, long bed, dually.

Long bed allows you to have turning clearance in sharp turns, diesel engine gives you the torque and longevity for heavy towing, and dually gives you additional stability and towing capacity. Also, helps in the event of a blow out there's a back up tire.
