Effectiveness of Ultra-Fab King Pin Tripod Stabilizer # UF19-950200 with TrailAir Tri-Glide Pin Box

Question:

I have a Cougar 318SAB that I have installed the new TrailAire with Tri Glide pin box on. How effective or is it not at all effective is a kingpin stabilizer with a pin box that is air and shock supported? Is there anything to be gained by using a kingpin stabilizer when the kingpin itself is mobile in its connection to the pinbox attachment point?

The Ultra-Fab 5th Wheel King Pin Tripod Stabilizer, part # UF19-950200, will work with your TrailAir Tri-Glide Pin Box. It will still be beneficial because it will help transfer the weight of the fifth wheel to the tripod stabilizer and help eliminate the front to back and side to side motion of your fifth wheel after it has been unhitched.

The tripod stabilizer will still be effective and give the needed support at the front of your fifth wheel even with the air bag in your Tri-Glide pin box.
