Question:

I inputted my 2016 Ford Focus SE and it gave me this receiver for a Fusion. I take this to mean that this will also fit a focus and mounting procedure/locations arethe same. Correct?

For your 2016 Ford Focus SE we have Curt hitches that do fit but the Curt # C12091 you mentioned does NOT fit so we would not recommend it. Instead you'd want the part # C11158 which is a confirmed fit and would work well. I attached an install video for this hitch for you to check out too.
