How Does Yakima Fullback # Y02634 Attach to 2017 Ford Escape

Question:
Hi, I am having trouble trying to figure out where to strap a trunk bike rack at the bottom of the back hatch/door on the 2017 Ford Escape not Titanium. Every edge is smooth and no way to hook the hook on. Any suggestions?
