I don’t think I properly described the plug on my trailer. I will post the picture below. Can this plug be easily updated to the Six pole you described in your response?

In order to tow a trailer with what I assume is a 6-pole round trailer connector on your 2010 Subaru Forester with a 4-flat trailer connector all you will need is the 6-Way and 4-Way Flat part # ETBC6. This will give you everything to attach the wiring from the trailer to the tow vehicle.
The 6-pole trailer connector on your trailer will allow for you to add brakes to the trailer.
