Can the Hullavator be used on a 2019 Subaru Outback. It doesnt like you can use the factory bars.

I do have a way for you to be able to use the Thule Hullavator Kayak Carrier # TH898 on your 2019 Subaru Outback, however as you mentioned in your question you won't be able to attach the carrier using the factory roof rack on the vehicle. This is simply because The Hullavator requires that the roof rack crossbars extend past the feet at least 4 inches so that there is the necessary clearance between the carrier and the vehicle. Since the factory crossbars are flush with the feet/side rails, you will need to go with an aftermarket roof rack instead with crossbars that overhang the sides of the vehicle.

For your Subaru Outback you can use the Yakimia JetStream Roof Rack that consists of # Y00425 for the 50 inch JetStream Crossbars, # Y53TR for the SkyLine Towers, and # Y00241 for the Fit Kit. I have attached a short video demonstration on this system that you can also check out.
