Question:

I recently purchased a used 5th wheel trailer which included the BandW 18k Patriot hitch. The seller has the hitch in a 2016 GMC 3500 with the factory prep package. Will this hitch fit in a new 2019 Silverado 3500 with the factory prep package? Thanks

Are you certain that it is a Patriot hitch and not a Companion? I ask because there isn't a Patriot version that fits the factory puck system in any of the trucks that have that option (Ford, GM, Ram, or Nissan). If the hitch is # BWRVK3700 then it is a Companion model.

If your 2019 Chevy Silverado 3500 is a long bed then yes, Companion hitch # BWRVK3700 does indeed fit the factory prep package in your new truck.

If your truck is a short bed you would either need Companion slider hitch # BWRVK3770 or you could just get the slider base, # BWRVB3770, and put the Companion head you already have on the slider base which would save you some money.

The factory puck spacing on the GM trucks is different between the long and short beds so you couldn't use a long bed hitch version in a short bed truck and vice versa.
