Question:

I recently obtained a 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk because we want to flat tow behind our Class A motorhome. Previously we used a cumbersome Dolly. The dolly is very difficult for me because I am disabled and has been the cause of much blood loss. So, I got a dingy towable car and started buying pieces to make the dumb dolly go away. I got the light weight Blue Ox BX4370 Ascent Tow Bar because I’m a weakling and I took your advice and purchased the Blue Ox Patriot II braking system as well as the magnetic base tail light kit. My questions are about the baseplates for my Trailhawk. If I use your Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate Kit will it work with the Blue Ox Ascent tow bar I have already bought? I saw in one installation video where the young man said you could but would need a Blue Ox Tow Bar to Roadmaster EZ5, MS, and MX Base Plates Adapter Brackets BX88185 and another commented that you also need two RoadMaster 3/4inch Diameter Pin with Linchpin and Chain RM-910008-00. Am I reading everything correctly? Is there anything else that I need?

To use a Roadmaster EZ5 base plate like part # RM-521447-5 with a Blue Ox Ascent tow bar you'd just need the adapter part # BX88185 and you'd be set. You would not need to swap the pins either.
