Will the ones pictured fit over the lug nuts on a 1989 560 SL?

The Wheel Masters Lug Nut Covers # WM8012 that you referenced are designed to cover 1-1/2 inch lug nuts. If this is what you have on your 1989 Mercedes 560SL then these should work great. The stainless steel covers are 1-3/4 inches tall and 6 are included with this kit.
