It sounds like you are looking for an anti-rattle device for the connection between a hitch adapter like the Brophy # HTAD and the 1-1/4 inch hitch receiver on your Toyota Prius. For this I recommend taking a look at the Roadmaster No-Rattle Trailer Hitch Clamp # RM-061-125. This will do an excellent job of reducing rattle and play inside the receiver by clamping on the receiver and adapter to fill in any gap. It's also a quick and simple install, as you can see by checking out the attached video.
