Question:
i have a Ross bike given to me by a 6foot 2inch friend with a tall frame. the upper bar is almost too high for me, but i make it work just fine it was free - right?!. very interested in this swagman bike rack and after reviewing all the specs/measurements i cant determine if the hold-down hooks will reach the top bar when the bike is seated in the tire loops. any verification would be greatly appreciated. thank you for your time and consideration, ive attached a photo of the the bike standing perpendicular/vertical to the ground which measures 34inch up to the top of the horizontal frame bar. the bike has 26inch wheels. im also looking to purchase the curt #C11447 hitch to fit my 2001 chevy HHR to set the bike rack into and get free shipping!!.

I spoke with my contact at Swagman and they informed me that the Swagman XC 2-Bike Rack part # S64650 will work for you. You may need to switch the hooks around so that the long hook is on top but nonetheless it will work. There will also be no issues with the 26" diameter tires. This is a really nice cost effective bike rack.
In order to mount the bike rack on your 2011 Chevrolet HHR I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11447 which you mentioned. This hitch is a custom fit and installs using pre drilled holes in the frame rail. The Curt Cam Buckle Stabilizing Strap part # 18050 is recommended by the manufacturer to reduce movement of non-towing hitch mounted accessories.
I have attached an install video of the hitch and review video of the bike rack for you as well.
