Question:
I read the question about the proper trailer hitch for a Rav4 Adventure series, but I was wondering if you suggest weight distribution or sway bars? I have an old 15foot camper 2000 lbs. that I want to tow. The Rav4 has plenty of power, but I wondered if it would be unstable at highway speeds. Thanks!

For Adventure Series RAV4 the etrailer hitch part # e98864 that you referenced is a confirmed fit. If a trailer was unstable at highway speeds the solution would not be weight distribution or sway control. That would indicate that the vehicle is not properly loaded, or the suspension of the vehicle is in bad shape. A friction sway control like part # 83660 would most likely be the best option. Friction sway control works to minimize sway on the highway caused by a passing semi or crosswinds.
