Question:
This is the hitch that is recommended for my 2017 GMC Sierra 3500. The truck is a Denali. Will the hitch fit this model. What kind of modification to the front airdam is required, if any.

The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C31071 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2017 GMC Sierra 3500 Denali. The hitch will use existing holes in the truck's frame to eliminate the need for any frame drilling during installation. The installation also does not require any modification to the front airdam and Curt estimates an installation time of just around 50 minutes (or 25 minutes for a professional).
I have attached the complete installation instructions so you can see exactly what all is required. I have also included an installation video on the 2015 Sierra 3500 that you can use for reference. The process will be almost identical for your 2017 model.
