Can the Bulldog Powered-Drive Kit be Used on Any Jack

Can I put a powdered drive BD1824200100 on a 2 speed jack on my horse trailer . 12000lb 183416

The Bulldog Powered-Drive Kit part # BD1824180100 is for two speed jacks whereas the Bulldog Powered-Drive Kit part # BD1824200100 is for single speed jacks. However, we can only confirm that these work with Bulldog jacks that have a 12,000 lb support capacity like part # BD182400 for single speed or part # BD183816 for two speed.

Advice not helpful at all. I have an older trailer and just ordered This 12000 pound power drive kit and this is what I later found out. Powered Drive Kit can only be installed on Bulldog Square Jacks manufactured in April 2003 or later. Jacks manufactured prior to that date require bevel gear kit (500212) which must be special ordered separately. So, must I obtain this bevel gear kit or not ?

You are correct about the note where you need the Gear Kit # BD500212 when installing the Powered-Drive Kit # BD1824200100 on a Bulldog jack that was manufactured before 2003. I can see where you are coming from with your statement but in this context Terry was talking about using the powered-drive kit with a non-Bulldog jack so Conner was making sure that Terry knew we have only confirmed it will work with the Bulldog jacks.
