What is the distance from the end that goes into the receiver to the pin hole? Thanks,

Expert Reply:
The distance from the end of the shank that fits into the receiver to the nearest edge of the pin hole is 2-3/16 inches. To the center of he pin hole it is 2-1/2 inches. Other dimensions can be found in the fourth picture on the product page.
One thing to keep in mind on the CURT Multipurpose Ball Mount, # D210, is that anything placed in the receiver part also counts as tongue weight. So if you had a trailer attached and a cargo carrier with some gear loaded in the receiver part, the tongue weight would include not just the trailer tongue weight but also the weight of the carrier plus the gear in int.
