Will 20 Feet of Propane Hose be Too Long for Pressure Drop
Updated 07/07/2020 | Published 07/14/2018 >
Question:
What should the max length of quick disconnect propane hose? I have a 12’. My quick disconnect is near the front door and my out door kitctchen is near the back, 20’ separation. Can I use 2 X 12’ hoses together without any issues?

There's no reason you'd have issues with 20 feet of propane line like you have. The pressure equalizes in the line so it's not like you'd have a pressure loss situation.

I have a pre-plumbed LP line with a quick connect on my travel trailer for an outdoor kitchen set-up. I recently purchased MB Sturgis Quick Disconnect Propane Hose for Small Appliance - Disposable Cylinder Port - 10' for my Coleman appliances. I gave it a go and was super excited for the convenience and come to find out, I have no where close to enough pressure. It was the first time I had used it so I thought maybe some air in the line was the problem. I bled it with no change. I also came back to this page and read a little more and saw a note in the description of the product telling me I need a t fitting before the regulator for Coleman appliances. But what I don't understand is why and how will that change my pressure. Is it something in the LP system regulating down the pressure and if so is this specific to Coleman appliances. Anything help or thoughts are more than welcome. I really want this connection to work.
