Technically there is no limit to how long a propane hose can be. However, the general consensus is that it should be no longer than 20' like the # 1000914-240-MBS. Any longer than 20' and you may experience problems with pressure and flow.

I need to squeeze 25 - 30' out of my set up between the tank and a 199k btu tankless water heater. Are there any tricks I could use to get those last few feet. I'm wondering if I use the 20' hose and then size up to 3/4" gas pipe (Which is what the machine accepts at the gas inlet) if that would give me the supply I need. Additionally should the regulator be near the tank or the appliance?

My 33ft rv has tanks on the tongue and the kitchen in the back. With the route of hose I'm guessing it's close to 36ft run. Is this not good.
