Question:

Is it possible to get a 2inch hitch receiver that will fit this vehicle? I see the Curt part but its only 1.25.

The only trailer hitch available that is designed to fit your 2018 Genesis G80 is the Curt Class II Round Tube Receiver Hitch # C12165 that you mentioned. Trailer hitches will typically feature the same type of weight rating as the vehicle they are designed to fit. This is most likely why there isn't a higher rated, 2 inch option available for your vehicle.

This particular hitch features a 3,500 pound towing weight capacity and a 350 pound tongue weight limit. You will also want to verify the vehicle's capacities by checking your owner's manual. You will just need to follow whichever limit is lower, the vehicle's or the hitch's.

Also please note that Curt does recommend that a stabilizing strap # 18050 be used for any non-trailer load like a bike rack or cargo carrier. I have attached a short video demonstration on this strap so you can see exactly how it is used.
