I have an Equalizer trailer hitch and Im missing the stay-away brackets will the 17501 Curtis brackets work with it

I do have a solution for you, however the Curt Replacement Frame Brackets # C17508 referenced in your question are not confirmed to work with the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems. The L-shaped piece that holds the bar to the bracket on the Curt assemblies does not function as sway control while the Equal-i-zer brackets do. This means that the fundamental design on the Curt brackets is different than the ones that you currently have. Because of this I cannot recommend using these as replacements for your weight distribution system.

For your Equal-i-zer system, I instead recommend the Replacement Sway-Control Bracket # EQ95-01-5600 which is a direct replacement part and will work perfectly. This includes one bracket assembly so you will need to order 2 if both need to be replaced.
