Question:
Need to replace a ST-36 RH optronics trailer light. I will assume this is the one needed just not sure about the RB on your listing. Also my current broken light has a plug off of the wires to plug into the wires coming from the trailer. Is there a light available with the plug option or will I need to cut and attach the plug from the old one? Thanks!

Expert Reply:
Although the # STL36RB light you referenced is the same size and shape as the other ST-36 Optronics lights, it is an LED light. The ST-36 by itself would have a standard bulb. If you need a replacement light with the standard bulb, you would use # ST36RB.
To install either version of the light, you will need to cut off the plug and connect the wires from the light directly to the trailer wiring.
You can view a standard trailer wiring diagram at the included link if you need it for reference.
