Question:
I’m planning on putting a Thule 480, fitkit 1312, 50” bars on my Fit. It will be for 2 kayaks totaling 100 pounds. Is this going to work?

For your 2008 Honda Fit with a bare roof the Inno 50-inch square bar roof rack made of parts # INB127, # INSUT and # INK219 is a confirmed fit and will give you a sturdy cost-effective platform for transporting your two 50-lb kayaks. This rack has a 120-lb maximum weight rating and 28-inch bar spread.
We have lots of choices in kayak carriers that fit on these square Thule crossbars and these appear on the linked page. You might care to check out the linked article on watersport carriers since certain types/sizes of kayaks may be easier to load with a specific type of carrier.
As examples, we have basic cost-effective J-style side-load carriers like the Swagman Contour # S65148 as well as upmarket carriers such as the Thule Hull-A-Port XT Kayak Carrier # TH848 which can be used for a single kayak as a J-style carrier or to transport 2 boats as a post-style carrier. We also have rear-loading systems like the roller-style # Y04083-04082 from Yakima which can save some lifting effort. All include tie-down straps.
