Will Dust Cap Tool Work for Recessed Cap

Does the tool work for removal of a recessed cap? Please see photo.

The Dust Cap Driver Tool # 290-992 could work despite the recess you have. It measures just about 5" long so just be sure you have a bit more length than that or there is enough room for you to be able to maneuver the tool. Also keep in mind that this tool works for grease caps that have a 2.44" outer diameter.
