Surfboard Carrier for Board That is 20 Inches Wide

I like this rack, but it says the minimum board with is 27. I dont have SUPs, I have regular surf boards. If my surf board is 20inch wide, will I not be able to use this part? If not, are there other products that you could help point out?

I do have a solution for you to carry your 20 inch wide surfboard, but the Thule SUP Taxi # TH810001 is only a fit for boards that are between 27" and 34" wide.
What I recommend is the Inno Board Locker Surfboard Carrier # INA744 which will be able to carry your 20" wide surfboard. It fits crossbars that have dimensions that are a maximum of 3-1/2" wide x 1-1/8" tall, though they can mount on crossbars that are a maximum of 2" tall with Long Bolt Kit # INISF711. Additionally, your crossbars need to have a minimum spread of 20".
