I do have a solution for you, however I checked with Thule and they state that the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier and Lift Assist # TH898 you referenced is not compatible with your Kia Sportage. This vehicle's roof and factory side rails simply aren't strong enough to handle the weight and tension that this system will provide. There also will not be enough crossbar length on your Sportage to handle two of the units for both of your kayaks.
I instead recommend taking a look at the Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier # S512 along with # RRS512X, which will convert the base system to a 2 kayak carrier. This is a really nice folding, j-style carrier that includes tie down straps to secure everything into place.
You can then add the Rhino-Rack Load Assist # RR-RUSL to help with loading the kayaks to the roof. This system features adjustable clamps that will attach to the roof rack crossbars and foam padding to protect the kayak and vehicle from scratches.
I have attached a couple short video demonstrations on these products that you can check out.
Then for a roof rack that will work well with this system and your Kia Sportage, I recommend the Rhino Rack Aero Bar Roof Rack. This roof rack consists of # RRVA118B-2 for the two 46 inch Vortex Aero Crossbars and # RRSX100 for the SX Series Legs. This will give you a really nice, aerodynamic roof rack with a weight capacity of 165 pounds.
