Invisible Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2018 Subaru Crosstrek

Question:

I have a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek with a factory installed 11/4 hitch. I would like to change to a Curt C13382 2inch hitch. The problem being that the factory installation has an oval CUTOUT on the rear panel or bumper. How much is the curt hitch going to show. Is it fesable? There is also a factory installed wiring harness. How do I mount it on the curt. Am I beating a dead horse. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you want a trailer hitch designed to fit your 2018 Subaru Crosstrek that will be totally invisible when you aren't towing you'd want the EcoHitch part # 306-X7365. This hitch has a lower section that totally removes when not in use so that the hitch isn't seen. The Curt # C13382 that you referenced would still fit but the hitch tube would always be present.

The EcoHitch does not require any trimming to install so your rear bumper as it sits not would not be affected.

For a bracket to secure your 4-way you could then use the part # 18144 which would attach to the lower rear bumper.
